Riverfront Amphitheater and Overlook
New Albany Riverfront Amphitheater
The New Albany Riverfront Amphitheater plays host to numerous public events each year, including New Albany’s Shoreline Independence Day Celebration sponsored by the Caesar’s Foundation of Floyd County. Additions are currently being looked at to enhance both the amphitheater and overlook to allow for larger, more consistent public events, as well as large commercial opportunities.
Improving Accessibility and Safety
The overlook serves as a primary entranceway to the Ohio River Greenway and the New Albany Shoreline for many residents and visitors, and its appearance should be updated to reflect how successful the Greenway has been. This image shows a purely conceptual draft of what a new overlook could look like, serving as a welcome entranceway to the Shoreline, as well as improving safety near the railroad tracks.
